The Village Canberra

I had the pleasure of staying at The Village in Canberra and wanted to share my experience. The receptionist (Juan Pablo) attention was exceptional, with a warm welcome that set a positive tone for my stay. They were helpful and provided useful information about the area. If you're looking for a hostel with a friendly atmosphere, The Village in Canberra is a solid choice.

They put us (young couple ) with 2 alcoholic and old dudes in one room . They were noisy at night and drank every evening wine even if that's Not allowed. Also the house rules on Hostelworld say that you have to be 18-35yo to rent a dorm bed... How the heck these 65+ yo guys end up in our dorm room? They should put us at least in another room. Also the one guy didn't accept to close curtains and windows at night.. that's no behavior for a dorm room/hostle. Unacceptable for a hostel

They were not only welcoming but also incredibly helpful, providing valuable information about the local area, recommending places to visit, and ensuring that all guests felt at home. Their dedication to creating a positive and comfortable environment did not go unnoticed, and it greatly enhanced the overall experience. The hostel itself was clean, well-equipped, and had a vibrant atmosphere. The keyless entry system added a modern touch, making it convenient for guests. Despite any minor issues in the common areas, the proactive approach of the management team, ensured that everything was swiftly addressed. In conclusion, my stay at The Village Hostel Canberra was memorable, thanks to the outstanding hospitality provided by Rodrigo and Chandresh. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Canberra and looking for a welcoming, professionally-managed accommodation. Kudos to The Village Hostel and its fantastic team for making my stay truly enjoyable!

This is definetly one of the nicer hostels I've stayed at. Very clean and spacious. The staff were also very helpful and kind. One night when we were staying we had a guy come into our room who had really bad breathing issues and was making horrible snores and gurgles all night, at 11pm me and my partner went to reception and they were so helpful and understanding and moved us to different room with just the two of us and I'm so thankful.
